mcUIControls - mcConvert

mcConvert.js is a utility program used to convert values from one set of units to another. There are currently 62 conversions.

Temperature - k c f
Distance - f m km mi
Dates - bp 2bp year kbp
Pressure - mBar, Pa, psi, hPa, torr, atm
Weight/mass - lb kg

Usage

For plotting programs which need to call this for every point, use mc_get_conversion_function to get the function, and just use that.

mc_convert_value(Old_Type, New_Type, value)    // returns the converted value
mc_get_conversion_function(Old_Type, New_Type) // returns the function

where the returned function is
  function(x){return *conversion is here*;}
